Blue screen of death

Have you been getting a message like this? (image below taken from Windows 8)

Thankfully, Windows' dreaded "Blue Screen of Death" is getting to be a rare event, but it still occurs. When it does, it isn't very helpful in helping you hunt down the problem.

The problem can often be traced to bad memory on the computer or driver faults. Normally a restart of the computer helps. If however, a restart does not help then contact IT saying that you keep having a blue screen and we can help you.
