How to find out my IP address

If you are working from home or have been asked by IT for your IP address then follow these steps to find out what to do.

1. Open the run command; this can be done by pressing the start button (button with Windows logo) and the letter "r" at the same time.
2. Type in cmd
3. In the new window type ipconfig
4. You are looking for the section called IP Address (or IPv4 if you are using Window 7 or 8), this number is what you need to use.
