Have you been receiving this message (shown below) saying you have limited or no connectivity

or has your browser been displaying this message?

Then this is most likely due to your computer not being connected to the internet. Before you email the Helpdesk please check the following:
- Have you tried typing in another website address? Try typing in google.co.uk or bbc.co.uk as both of these websites are a good test to see if you can actually connect to the internet. If you can connect to either google or bbc then it is the website you are visiting.
- Is it only your computer which has been affected or is it the everyone in your row?
- Is your phone active? You can tell this by checking if it is lit up or by making a test call to either someone sitting near you or by calling your mobile.
- Are all the cables in the back of the phone securely connected? In the back of the phones there are two Ethernet (internet cables), sometimes these move out of the socket meaning you have no internet for your computer.
If you are still getting a problem then contact IT Helpdesk via phone or ask someone next to you to email us. Please can you supply us with information about whether or not it is a single computer affected or multiple.
